The Maze is Free At Amazon 8/26 through 8/28

26 Aug

If you’ve been thinking of grabbing a copy of The Maze but haven’t gotten around to it yet, now is the time.  For the next three days, The Maze is available for free at Amazon.  The book has been described as the kind of book Edgar Allan Poe and C.S. Lewis might have written together in a fit of collaboration.  Throw in some angels and demons for good measure and you have a good idea of what to expect.

Here’s the Amazon link:  http://www.amazon.com/The-Maze-Christian-Fantasy-ebook/dp/B00AOCHE3K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377538249&sr=8-1&keywords=the+maze+brannon

Feel free to tell your friends about the download.  The more free copies given away, the better!

Happy Reading!

Want to be a character in my next novel? The Fourth Key @ The Untold Podcast!

8 Aug

My short story, The Fourth Key, has received a dramatic audio treatment by Nathan James Norman over at The Untold Podcast.  Of all the short stories I’ve written, this one has been published in more places than any other, and I’m extremely psyched about how accurately the audio version captures the creepy, foreboding mood of the tale.  If you enjoy The Twilight Zone, this story has that sort of tone and feel to it.  So check it out, and while you’re there, check out the contest that we’re running as well.

I’m currently knee-deep in a rewrite for my novel, The Piper’s Song, which is a follow-up to my novel, The Maze.  Folks who participate in the contest will get the chance to be a character in The Piper’s Song as well as win a signed, paperback copy of The Maze.

So, what are you waiting for?  Head on over! Image

Win a Copy of The Maze at Jo Huddleston’s Blog!

26 Jul

Fellow Southerner and author, Jo Huddleston, is graciously hosting a giveaway for a copy of my novel, The Maze, on her blog.  Head on over and check it out.  While you’re at it, give her Caney Creek series a look.

In the meantime, here are some of my thoughts about her novel, That Summer:  That Summer is a heart-tugging romance set in simpler times that turn out to be anything but simple. Jo Huddleston paints a realistic picture both of the Great Depression era and the continuous struggle of the human heart. At times, we all are forced to choose between following our own desires and following God. The author shows that conflict in a very real way that not only teaches a lesson, but does so in a way that serves as a mirror, forcing us to examine our own lives and the choices we have made.

The story is rendered with a keen eye to detail, and at times I felt like I knew what it must have been like to live in the Southern Appalachians during the late 1920’s. The book is rich both in character and in setting, and I would willingly take a trip back to Caney Creek again soon. Highly recommended.
